The Urban Wing’s Newsletter

The van port international flight simulator station and business lab, the site of the Urban Wings flight academy, will resume in person classes on June 1. We are very excited about the return of mini students coed for the summer institute and field trips. Trips are planned to the Museum of Flight in Seattle and the evergreen air and space Museum in McMinnville. Hopefully, we will have a study group go to Compton California to see tomorrow’s aeronautical museum and meet pilots. Finally the Tuskeegee airmen Inc. and the old map

Urban Wings is so fortunate to have three active, commercial pilots as mentors in the instructional program. These gentlemen captain James Batson United Airlines captain Isaiah Edwards a Rison airlines captain Paul Hudgens United Airlines are seasoned and at hand. Urbanwings cadets have an opportunity both online and in-person to gain wisdom and knowledge

On A recent excursion to Eugene Oregon, pilot and deputy director Jaylen Palmer flew his executive team to Corvallis and then on to Eugene Oregon. We were greeted by the Atlantic terminal staff in Eugene and provided a courtesy car to go into the city of Eugene and dine. When we returned to the Atlantic terminal our plane Cessna 172 was refueled and we flew dark and night skies over the well-lit burbs of Corvallis Salem and Beaverton before landing at Pearson airfield in Vancouver. It was an exhilarating round-trip and our producer and slide engineer had an opportunity to handle the controls and all was well.
